Historien om de Norske Dakotaene
De første norske Dakotaene var lend-lease fly sivilkonvertert hos Canadair før levering til No.20 Transport Flight i Norge.Denne avdelingen sto for alle "ruteflyvninger" i Norge like etter krigen før flyene ble overlatt til DNL fra 1946.Da DNL gikk inn i SAS i 1948 ble de etter hvert malt om i nye farver og var i tjeneste til langt ut på 50 tallet....I alt 12 selskaper/operatører har benyttet C-47/DC-3 i Norge og noen av flyene er fortsatt i bruk andre steder i verden.LN-WND ble kjøpt fra det finske flyvåpenet i 1985 og opereres av Warbirds of Norway som den eneste gjenværende i Norge av denne luftens arbeidshest..... ...En stor takk til Kay Hagby for tillatelse og publisering . Det kongelige norske flyvåpen ( Luftforsvaret) hadde ved frigjøringen fått tildelt syv C-47A Dakota fly,som etter overhaling ble satt inn i militær ruteflyging fra Fornebu sommeren 1945.Allerede i 1946 bestemte Stortinget at C-47 flyene skulle leies ut til Det Norske Luftfartsselskap(DNL),og Luftforsvaret måtte da motvillig gi fra seg flyene.Flyene ble etter politisk avgjørelse solgt til DNL i 1947 ....Fra boken KJELLER Senteret for Norsk Luftmilitær teknikk gjennom 90år 1912-2002.....Ellers kan jeg nevne at militære reg.nr. var "en bokstav" 1945-1946 ....
